Where Classroom Theory Meets Courtroom Reality
"A resilient mind is an advocate's greatest asset. We are here to ensure you never have to build it alone."
Student Well-being & Mental Health Committee
Pursuing a 3-year LL.B. is a rigorous and demanding intellectual journey. At DBHP Sabha’s Shri P. V. Joshi Law College, Dharwad, we believe that true academic excellence is built on a foundation of emotional and mental well-being.
The legal profession requires sharp critical thinking, resilience, and emotional intelligence. To ensure our students are fully supported during their academic journey and prepared for the high-pressure environment of legal practice, we have established a dedicated Mental Health Committee.
- • **Crisis Management:** Negotiators must remain calm and adaptable under pressure. Our training builds the emotional intelligence required to handle high-stakes disputes while maintaining professional decorum. • **Strategic Preparation:** Students learn to research and identify the Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA), ensuring they never enter a negotiation without a clear strategy and fallback plan.
- Minimum GPA/grade requirements as set by the university.
- For graduate programs: a recognized bachelor’s degree with required CGPA.
- For graduate programs: a recognized bachelor’s
Our Objectives
- Proactive Support: To provide a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space for students to discuss personal, academic, or career-related stress.
- Stress Management: To equip future advocates with practical tools to manage anxiety, especially during exams, moot court preparations, and internships.
- Holistic Development: To foster a campus culture that normalizes mental health care and prioritizes the overall well-being of our student body.
- Crisis Intervention: To offer immediate counseling and guidance for students navigating difficult personal or academic challenges.
