Campus Life & Events at DBHP Sabha's Shri P. V. Joshi Law College
At DBHP Sabha’s Shri P. V. Joshi Law College, education extends beyond the classroom. We believe in the holistic development of future legal professionals through a vibrant academic environment.
Throughout the academic year, the College organizes a diverse range of academic, intellectual, cultural, and commemorative events that promote advocacy skills, constitutional awareness, leadership, and community engagement, in accordance with the guidelines of the Bar Council of India (BCI) and Karnataka State Law University (KSLU).
Academic & Co-Curricular Excellence
To strengthen students’ legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and public speaking abilities, the College regularly organizes a variety of academic and intellectual activities:
• Conferences, Seminars & Symposiums: Providing a platform for legal experts to discuss contemporary legal issues, jurisprudence, and legislative developments.
• Debate & Elocution Competitions: Developing critical thinking, persuasive communication, and effective advocacy skills.
• Quiz Competitions: Enhancing students’ knowledge of current affairs, legal history, constitutional principles, and statutory law.
National & Commemorative Days
As an institution dedicated to legal education, we uphold the values of the Indian Constitution, national unity, and civic responsibility. The College proudly celebrates all major national events in accordance with the guidelines of Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) and the Bar Council of India (BCI).
• Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas): Celebrating the adoption of the Constitution through Preamble readings, lectures, and discussions on constitutional values.
• Independence Day & Republic Day: Flag hoisting ceremonies and programmes highlighting the duties of citizens and legal professionals in a democratic society.
• Ambedkar Jayanti: Honouring Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and his invaluable contribution to the Indian Constitution, equality, and social justice.
• Gandhi Jayanti: Commemorating the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, with a focus on truth, non-violence, and ethical leadership.
• World Environment Day: Promoting awareness of environmental law, sustainability, and environmental protection through lectures and campus initiatives.
• Other National Events: The College observes all significant national occasions to strengthen students’ constitutional values, civic awareness, and cultural responsibility.
