Internal Complaints Committee
Fostering a Safe and Respectful Workplace
Significance of the ICC in a Law College
Zero Tolerance: It establishes that the institution has zero tolerance for gender-based violence, discrimination, or sexual harassment.
Institutional Accountability: It provides a safe, confidential, and unbiased grievance redressal mechanism, ensuring that the college is not just teaching law, but practicing it.
Gender Sensitization: Beyond investigation, the ICC acts as a catalyst for workshops, seminars, and orientation programs, fostering an environment of equality.
Empowerment: It creates a “safe space” where students—especially future legal practitioners—can voice their concerns without fear of reprisal, intimidation, or social stigma.
Statutory Compliance: It shields the institution from legal repercussions and ensures that the college meets the rigorous standards of the Bar Council of India (BCI) and UGC.
