NSS Unit

 National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit:

Serving Society, Strengthening Justice

Our Vision

At DBHP Sabha’s Shri P. V. Joshi Law College, Dharwad, we believe that legal knowledge is a tool for social transformation. Our NSS Unit is dedicated to the motto “Not Me, But You,” fostering a spirit of volunteerism, social commitment, and civic responsibility among our students. We bridge the gap between the classroom and the community through grassroots-level engagement.

Significance of the NSS Unit

Clinical Legal Outreach: The NSS Unit provides our students with firsthand experience in identifying social issues, conducting legal awareness camps, and understanding the challenges faced by rural and marginalized populations.

Building Empathy: By engaging in community service, students develop the sensitivity required to become compassionate, ethical, and public-spirited legal professionals.

Regulatory Compliance: The presence of an active NSS Unit is a testament to our institution’s commitment to the holistic development of students as mandated by the University and Higher Education regulatory frameworks.

Leadership & Teamwork: Participation in NSS develops critical soft skills, organizational management, and public speaking abilities, essential for a successful career in law.
