Girl Student Grievience Redressal
Empowering Voices, Ensuring Justice.
Our Vision
At DBHP Sabha’s Shri P. V. Joshi Law College, Dharwad, we are dedicated to creating an academic environment that is free from gender-based discrimination, harassment, and intimidation. As an institution of legal learning, we recognize that our campus must reflect the very ideals of equality and justice that our students are training to uphold in the professional world.
Significance of the Cell
Upholding Legal Mandates: The cell functions in alignment with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act), and guidelines mandated by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Ensuring Psychological & Physical Safety: We provide a dedicated space that recognizes the unique challenges faced by female students, ensuring their well-being is prioritized in classrooms, campus facilities, and digital spaces.
Promoting Gender Equality: Beyond grievance handling, the cell acts as a catalyst for gender sensitization, conducting workshops on women’s legal rights, self-defense, and professional empowerment.
Building Confidence: By providing a transparent and confidential mechanism for redressal, we ensure that students can focus on their academic pursuits without fear or hesitation.
