Where Ambition Meets Achievement
Faculty Development: Excellence in Legal Pedagogy
Our Commitment to Academic Excellence
At DBHP Sabha’s Shri P V Joshi Law college, Dharwad, we believe that the best legal professionals are trained by the most updated legal educators. Our commitment to high-quality legal education is sustained through a robust Faculty Development Program (FDP). We actively encourage our faculty to engage in lifelong learning, research, and skill enhancement to keep pace with the rapidly evolving national and international legal landscape.

Why FDPs Matter
• Curriculum Enrichment: FDPs allow our educators to integrate contemporary issues—such as Cyber Law, Environmental Justice, and International Arbitration—into the traditional LLB curriculum.
• Pedagogical Innovation: We move beyond the lecture method. Through FDPs, our faculty members are trained in modern clinical teaching techniques, including Simulated Mooting, Socratic questioning, and Case-Study methodology.
• Research & Publication: Our faculty is encouraged to contribute to the academic discourse of law. FDPs provide them with the time and resources to conduct high-impact research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and attend national/international conferences.
• Regulatory Alignment: These programs ensure that our teaching standards remain strictly aligned with BCI guidelines and the evolving norms of legal higher education in India.
- • **Crisis Management:** Negotiators must remain calm and adaptable under pressure. Our training builds the emotional intelligence required to handle high-stakes disputes while maintaining professional decorum. • **Strategic Preparation:** Students learn to research and identify the Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA), ensuring they never enter a negotiation without a clear strategy and fallback plan.
